A Jubilant June

Praise the Lord First Baptist Church, we truly had a magnificent May. Our Senior Adult Day was a blessing, Mothers Day was very special and our high attendance Sunday went beyond expectation with 121 in service & 80 in Sunday school. To God be the glory! Now let me tell you about our Jubilant June campaign. It starts June the 8th with a South African Mission Emphasis Day. Terry Wilkerson will be speaking Sunday morning to challenge us from the Word and tell us about his upcoming South African mission trip, and that Sunday evening Teresa VanHook will be speaking to tell us about her recent 6 week mission trip from South Africa. I encourage you to faithfully attend both services and prepare to be ministered to in a powerful way as we hear about how the Lord is bringing hope, renewal and revival half way around the world. The following Sunday (15th) is Father's Day, and I plan to preach a message of strength and encouragement to all dads on this very special day. Also, June the 22nd will begin our new expositional study through the book of Ephesians. In this series we'll understand just how the church is supposed to be the body of Christ in a world of discontent, pain and sorrow. We'll study God's calling, God's promises, the fullness and the power of the Holy Spirit in the church, in our families and in our prayer life. Church, I believe if I've ever preached a more practical sermon series that will empower this church, I believe it will be this one. Don't miss out on God's message for you and God's mandate for our church. He's making us into a "Comeback Church" and now is the time to get in on the ground floor of a great work at First Baptist. Remember to pray for our outreach teams. It's been exciting to see some fruit from these efforts. Also remember to lift our fellow church members up in prayer especially within our June emphasis prayer walks, and remember God is in control, He's on the throne & hell will never prevail against us with the Lord in charge.

May the Lord bless you,
Pastor Barry

Praise the Lord Brother!! Great things God has done!

I hope that this June will be a great month for your church. Terry Wilkerson is a great preacher. I had the chance to hear him preach at Pakers Creek, as well as in Evensville, IN...both were great!

You reminded me of Nehmiah, when He was asked to come down off the wall to go to Ono for a meeting. He told them Oh NO I am not going to Ono...I am doing a GREAT WORK. Any time we do anything for the Lord it is always a GREAT WORK! That is what made Nehamiah great, he saw every brick being laid a Great work of God...He tried not to get discoraged about the wall that was not done, but focused on the portion of wall that was being completed!

Keep up the Great Work, Break up the Ground, Sow, Water and God will give the more

Amen Brothers!

It is good to hear that God is at work in East Tennessee as He is here in Middle!

LORD send a revival. And let it begin in me! We are praying and believing God to pour out his blessings upon you!

May He give healing to those who need healing, and life to those who need life! May He send a great Harvest of Souls to be brought in (Perhaps the end time Harvest before He returns!!!). Heaven is His throne and the earth is His footstool! Praise God we get to get in on His work!) May he continue to pour out his manifest blessing upon you!
